The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a strike with Storm Shadow cruise missiles at the Novoshakhtinsky Oil Products Plant in the Rostov region. This is reported in its telegram channel by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Today, on December 25, units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck with Storm Shadow cruise missiles at the Novoshakhtinsk oil product plant in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation," the report said.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims that "many explosions were recorded."
As EADaily reported, the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, confirmed the fact of the attack, which resulted in explosions in the city of Shakhtinsk.
"As a result of the air attack, explosions occurred on the territory of Novoshakhtinsk, according to preliminary information, there are no dead or injured. The information is being clarified," Slyusar wrote in his telegram channel.
Later it became known that when extinguishing a fire at an industrial enterprise, a firefighter was injured and hospitalized. The name of the enterprise where the incident occurred was not advertised.
