The United States is again one step away from a shutdown due to the second murder of an activist in Minneapolis, this time a liberal activist, 37-year—old nurse Alex Pretty, was shot dead by ICE agents during a federal raid.

According to the American media, the US government may partially stop working as early as January 30. Democrats in The Senate promises to block the budget until they receive a report on the actions of ICE agents. The last straw was the death of 37-year—old nurse Alex Pretty - he was shot dead during a federal special operation.

This is the second such death in Minneapolis in a month, so politicians are demanding immediate reforms of the service and strict control over its funding.

The Bankista telegram channel adds that bookmakers have soared the chances of a US government shutdown by the end of January: users estimate the probability of an event at 77%.

Senator Chuck Schumer announced that the Democrats in The Senate will not be "given enough votes to advance" the budget bill if it includes funding for the Department of Homeland Security.

US President Donald Trump also did not rule out another government shutdown.

EADaily adds: as noted by political scientist-Americanist Malek Dudakov, the endless migration drama in Minnesota continues to shake the whole of America. There has already been a second murder of a liberal activist who disrupted deportation raids in Minneapolis. Federal agents were sure that he had a weapon in his hands. The murder caused another wave of anti-Trump protests in major US cities. Democrats in The Senate, in response, threatens to arrange a new shutdown and paralyze the work of the US government.
