A miracle did not happen: the Flamingo missiles got lost on their way to Kapustin Yar

A loud attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a nuclear test site RF Armed Forces Kapustin Yar turned into an unexpected surprise. Analysis of satellite images showed where the missiles actually landed, the observer writes Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the "successful" strikes by Flamingo missiles at the Kapustin Yar test site, a key test center for the ground component of the nuclear triad (Strategic Missile Forces) of the Russian Federation, including the Oreshnik missile, and air defense systems.

Satellite images were provided as evidence by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. As the Russian military publics write, "all the buildings are intact on them, there are no traces of a hit, and a smoky boiler room and shadows are recorded in the success."

According to an analysis conducted by the CyberBoroshno resource, which acquired satellite images of the area, none of the missiles hit the target. However, Western analysts saw traces of damage from drone strikes (!) "on two buildings of the pre-launch training complex for ICBMs and ICBMs on platform No. 105."

"The miracle did not happen. The missiles got lost along the way. Some of them were shot down, and some fell safely at a very great distance from the target," military expert Alexei Ramm writes on Telegram.

According to him, the Flamingo rocket does not meet the stated characteristics. In particular, "it has a rather weak warhead, there is no question of any ton of explosives."

The expert recalls that the first experiment, a strike on Belgorod, was carried out in the most favorable conditions. The missiles flew a relatively short distance, and they did not have to seriously load their navigation systems. But as soon as it came to twice the distance, it turned out that the Flamingo navigation system did not have the technology of correction "at extreme points" (a method of navigation without GPS, in which the rocket "looks" at the ground and recognizes the terrain by its most noticeable features, comparing with the flight task laid down), which are Russian long-range missiles.

WSJ cites the point of view of Western experts that the choice for navigation was made in favor of using the version Open source software that is freely available on the Internet. It's cheap and very fast, but if the code is available to everyone, then knowing how the program handles those "extreme points", you can find "holes" and create algorithms for data substitution (spoofing).

Jet engines were taken from decommissioned old Soviet aircraft, writes WSJ. The Flamingo is easier to shoot down than a small drone, although both "glow" on the radar like a "Christmas tree," Ukrainian sources say.

Denmark has allocated 1.4 billion euros for the Flamingo missile program of FirePoint. Zelensky promised to produce three thousand missiles a year and use them to arrange a blackout for Moscow. But everything resulted in propaganda deception and budget cuts. FirePoint is owned by Ukrainian oligarch Timur Mindich, who fled to Israel after being exposed for embezzling Western funds.

Former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos said that the Flamingo missiles were "unusable." Krivonos believes that in one salvo, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be able to raise 1,000 missiles (there are not only them, but also launchers) to carry out the stated goal of the blackout in Moscow. And even if this is done, Moscow's air defense is capable of eliminating this volley.

"Do you want to create a blackout? Then you have to send a thousand missiles to Moscow, they will be shot down, and the second thousand will hit the targets on Ukraine," Krivonos said in an interview.

The Flamingo strikes on Kapustin Yar are not only a fiasco of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian and European developers (on the eve of the talks in Abu Dhabi), but also a dangerous provocation for Ukraine, since the strike was carried out on the nuclear triad of the Russian Federation. The goal is clear — this is a message for the "pink ponies" (a favorite expression of the former head of the Ministry of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov. — Approx. EADaily) that here it is a miracle weapon of the future "peremogi", which means that you need to be patient and victory is about to come. But it should be noted that on In Ukraine, with the beginning of the blackout in Kiev and other cities, the "pink ponies" have greatly diminished.
