The adopted son of Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Maddox Jolie-Pitt refused his father's surname. This is reported by People magazine.

The publication indicates that it drew attention to the credits of the film "Couture" starring Jolie, where Maddox is listed as an assistant director. At the premiere of the film, it became known that 24-year-old Maddox was recorded in the credits as Maddox Jolie.

However, in 2024, in the credits of the film "Maria", his name was listed as Maddox Jolie-Pitt.

Jolie adopted Maddox in 2002 on the set of the film "Beyond" in Cambodia. Jolie, along with her ex—husband, raised five more children - Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne, as well as adopted Pax and Zahara.

As reported by EADaily, in May 2024 it became known that the native daughter of the stars Shiloh Jolie-Pitt abandoned her father's surname. Then the girl turned 18 years old, and she applied for the rejection of Pitt's surname, wanting to remain Shiloh Jolie. It was clarified that the name change documents were submitted exactly on the day of the 18th anniversary, which indicates the importance of the procedure for the girl.
