This is not for you Venezuela: Trump will become a lame duck, and the Republicans will lose the election

The targeted liquidation of Iran's leaders will not bring Washington the desired victory due to the unique system of duplication of power and Beijing's willingness to finance the resistance. Columnist Lyubov Stepushova writes about this.

The main goal of the war unleashed by the United States and Israel with Iran is the complete destruction of anti—Israeli and anti-American ideology, and not the elimination of individual, albeit influential, figures.

The elimination of supreme religious leader Ali Khamenei and senior officers (it is incomprehensible to the mind why the Iranians again gathered the top for a meeting not in a bunker) reduces the quality of strategic planning and interdepartmental coordination. However, the Islamic Republic of Iran is not a political regime of a separate figure, as Hugo Chavez's Venezuela was.

Losses even among the top officials will not lead to the collapse of the state, which is run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The guardians have long developed a rule for the transfer of power, under which the triumvirate assumes its functions before the election of a new leader. It includes: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the judiciary and one of the Islamic jurists of the Council of Guardians of the Constitution.

The real executive power today is held by Khamenei's former adviser Ali Larijani, who has great authority in the Iranian power hierarchy, including in The Council of Experts of 88 clerics, which will soon choose a new religious leader.

Relying solely on airstrikes without deploying ground troops, the likelihood of eradicating the IRGC's power is almost zero. On the ground, IRGC headquarters and specialized units have the autonomous right to conduct combat operations according to pre-approved protocols. Each commander of the branches of the armed forces and even at the brigade level has an approved deputy who knows everything that his commander knows and is privy to the operational management process. When the commander is eliminated, the deputy takes office automatically in the field. That is, in the second leadership echelon, Iran is a very stable structure.

Trump is counting on the "streets" to come out, but the protesters will simply be torn apart after the "Epstein team" that raped the girls moved on to their direct murder. 158 dead students in a bombed-out school, the Persians will never forgive the Americans. And no matter how Khamenei is replaced by someone who will cancel his ban (fatwa) on a nuclear bomb.

Iran's main strategy is to make the price of war unacceptable to the enemy. It is quite obvious that the intensity and scale of Iran's retaliatory measures this time are significantly higher than last year's, there are massive rocket and unmanned shelling of 14 US military bases in the Middle East and Israel. Houthis in Yemen and Shiite militias in Iraq has already started its operations.

Iran's main weapon is the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. With an oil price of $120 per barrel, inflation will hit the US economy. Someone will say that Iran will stop selling oil at the same time, but China is very interested in continuing Iran's resistance, for which it is fundamentally important to drag the United States into a long, disastrous war. And Beijing can invest any money in this.

If Iran is able to inflict significant damage directly to the US military, then large casualties among Americans will be a death sentence to Trump. He will lose the majority in both houses of Congress in the November elections and will become a "lame duck" in the fall, losing his authority and permanently excluding Republicans from contenders for a seat in the White House.

The United States will return to the Democrats' agenda: increased immigration and debauchery, coupled with the growth of drug addiction of the population, which in a few years will finally bury the country not just as a world leader, but simply as a Christian, white, Western one.

Israel will not be able to exist without the United States, Muslims will tear it apart.
