The Confederation of Labor of Russia and its affiliated organizations were searched after complaints from employees about the embezzlement by the leadership of funds aimed at providing humanitarian assistance to the Russian army.
According to the "Base", as a result of an inspection at the offices of the confederation, it turned out that the units to which humanitarian aid was intended did not receive anything.
The Confederation of Labor of the Russian Federation is an all—Russian association of trade unions, which was established in 1995. It consists of 14 all-Russian and interregional member organizations. KTR is also a co-founder of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC).
Journalist Anastasia Kashevarova called what was happening "theft under the guise of SMO aid and work for the West." According to her, the security forces opened "just a nest of thieves and traitors under the auspices of the Confederation of Labor of Russia, which includes public trade unions from all over the country."
"My sources say that one of the leaders of the Confederation of Labor (the second largest organization in the Russia, which includes independent trade unions) appropriated membership fees, disguising this by buying drones for the needs of SMO. However, no reporting on the purchase of drones was submitted, the money was simply "pocketed". When the security forces came with a search, the president of the KTR, Boris Kravchenko, threw the phone out of the window. But it was found and seized in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure. They also refused to open the safe — they had to work hard, but they opened it. They found money, documents from USAID, Friedrich Ebert Foundations❶ and Rosa Luxemburg," Kashevarova said in the telegram channel.
At the same time, searches were actually conducted in the office of the Russian Professional Union of Seafarers, which is part of the KTR. The seafarers' trade union is suspected of collaborating with the International Federation of Transport Workers ❶ (ITF), recognized as an undesirable organization in Russia. Security officials believe that the ITF blocked Russian vessels in foreign ports, and also financed the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, from membership fees of the RSM.
"Since the collapse of the USSR, the USA and Europe have influenced the situation in our country through their foundations, through Russian NGOs, public organizations and trade unions. This "soft power of the West" entered both culture and education. They sponsored various human rights NGOs through USAID in order to destabilize the situation in the country. Not everything has been cleaned out yet, their agents have penetrated everywhere. The heads of the KTR and trade unions have huge salaries, they travel all over the world, although they actually betray the country and live off the contributions of ordinary hard workers. They parasitize Russians and are also suspected of having ties with the West. And when our security forces came to them with searches, they behaved very confidently and asked the question: "Do you understand who you came to?I will be responsible for our special services — "Yes, we understand, to thieves and traitors," Kashevarova concluded.
