People's Artist of the RSFSR Gennady Khazanov was horrified, watching the strike of scavengers in Israel. He told about this in the podcast "From the river to the sea", which is available on YouTube.
He clarified that we are talking about the events of 1989. Then the strike of scavengers lasted for several weeks.
"I must say that the whole smell of French perfumery could not compete with what I had to face. I was terrified," recalls Khazanov.
At the same time, the wife of the artist Zlata had other emotions in her memory — she even liked the numerous colored garbage bags piled in heaps that resembled bouquets of peonies because of their coloring.
As reported by EADaily, in the same podcast Khazanov said that Israeli doctors brought him back to life. Moscow doctors, who could not help Khazanov, recommended that he go to the clinic in Jerusalem. There he received the necessary treatment.
He did not specify what kind of illness Khazanov suffered.
