Moscow reminded Kiev: The crime in Starobilsk has no statute of limitations

The crime of the Kiev regime in Starobilsk has no statute of limitations. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"STAROBILSK 22.05.2026. The Kiev regime bears full responsibility for the bloody terrorist attack in Starobilsk. This crime has no statute of limitations," reads the message published in the telegram channel of the department.

The Foreign Ministry recalled that on May 22, Ukrainian drones purposefully attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the college of Lugansk State Pedagogical University in Starobilsk.

"They beat the students. They were beaten in the place where they lived and studied. They were beaten repeatedly — to prevent rescuers and increase the number of victims. As a result of the terrorist attack, 49 students, including 19 minors, were injured in various degrees of severity. Tragically, 21 young lives were cut short," the Foreign Ministry noted.

To the spontaneous memorial at the site of the terrible tragedy in Flowers and toys are still being carried in Starobilsk, and our compatriots and caring people abroad send words of condolences, support and consolation to Russian diplomatic missions.

As EADaily reported, after visiting Starobilsk, the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on the local college.

This was told to the TASS news agency on June 3 by Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik.

According to him, in this way the members of the delegation reacted to the war crime of the Kiev regime, but did not name the perpetrators of the tragedy.
