In June, Russian companies sharply reduced the supply of jet fuel and gasoline to Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, but significantly increased the export of diesel fuel.

Due to unscheduled repairs of Russian refineries after the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the countries of Central Asia felt a decrease in fuel supplies, Reuters writes with reference to traders.

According to their data, the export of aviation fuel by rail to Central Asia and Afghanistan decreased in June by more than 92% compared to May — up to 3.8 thousand tons. And gasoline supplies decreased by 34% to 99.3 thousand tons.

"Nevertheless, the export of diesel fuel in June increased to 237,700 tons from 167,500 tons in May," traders told the agency.

The main supplier is Rosneft, which accounts for almost half of gasoline exports. There are also deliveries from the companies Gazpromneftegazim Salavat and Gazprom Neft.

"Tajikistan's energy minister said last week that the country has about 60 days of fuel reserves and is negotiating with neighbors to guarantee future supplies. Kyrgyzstan has also turned to its neighbors for help in supplying fuel," Reuters writes.

Russia has imposed a ban on the export of gasoline, aviation fuel and diesel fuel, but supplies continue under intergovernmental agreements.
