A foreign film critic who escaped from arrest turned up in France

Journalist and film critic Ekaterina Barabash was taken out of house arrest in Russia. This was announced by the son of the film critic to the telegram channel "Caution, news".

According to him, the organization Reporters Without Borders helped with the evacuation of Barabash to France.

"Barabash was taken out as a result of a secret operation similar to the removal from Russian journalist Marina Ovsyannikova," the publication says.

As EADaily reported, Barabash was detained in Moscow on February 25 of this year.

According to the investigation, she posted on her personal page in one of the social networks publications that, according to the study, contain deliberately false information about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of another state. This information was available to an unlimited number of people.

During the interrogation, she pleaded guilty in full. She was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.

On April 4, Barabash was included in the list of foreign agents of the Ministry of Justice.

Later, the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service in Moscow reported that the journalist had violated house arrest, she was not found at home on April 13. She was put on the wanted list.
