The former Minister of Transport of Russia and the former governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit was found dead in his own house in Odintsovo, Moscow region.
"Roman Starovoit's body was found in his house in Odintsovo city district," Izvestia reports.
Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree dismissing Starovoit. At the same time, the press secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, said that Roman Starovoit was dismissed from the post of Minister of Transport not because of loss of confidence.
"No such wording was used," a Kremlin spokesman told reporters at a briefing.
