The head of the Office of the President (OP) of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, in order to stay in power with Vladimir Zelensky, may make a deal with Russia and refuse to join the European Union. This was stated in social networks by the head of the Anti-Corruption Center working on Western grants, Daria Kalenyuk.
So she commented on today's article in Ukrainska Pravda, which says that the "key producer" of the project "to neutralize" the anti-corruption agencies of NABU and SAP was Andriy Yermak.
"The greatest threat to Yermak is Zelensky's loss of his position as president. Therefore, it is vitally important for Andrei Borisovich in case of elections that cannot be avoided after a possible freezing of the war: a) convince the president to go for a second term, b) organize these elections so that Zelensky wins for sure. The easiest way to do this is to turn Ukraine from a democracy into an autocracy," writes Kalenyuk.
According to her, while Yermak retains absolute influence on Zelensky, he will continue to attempt to "frame the whole country" in order to retain power.
"If the price of the issue is the failure of European integration and assistance from the West, it doesn't matter. I would not be surprised if Yermak agrees to a compromise with the Russians that is unfavorable for us. Please note that last week the negotiation track with the Russians in Istanbul was completely under the control of Yermak and his faithful henchman (Rustem) Umerov. What are they talking about with the Russians under close supervision (Turkish President Recep Tayyip) Erdogan is a big question," Kalenyuk notes.
According to the Ukrainian edition of Strana, the Anti-Corruption Center, headed by Kalenyuk, is now in acute conflict with the OP. Its founder Vitaly Shabunin was suspected of evading military service. The CPC also actively supports actions in support of NABU and, together with other representatives of the opposition, declares the need to dismiss Yermak.
