Russia has no legal right to any concessions from Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, according to the British newspaper The Guardian.
"Russia's war against Ukraine is an existential threat to Europe. We all want this war to end. But how it ends is important. Russia has no legal right to any concessions from the country it has seized. Ultimately, Ukraine will decide what the terms of any agreement will be," Kallas said.
According to the publication, Kiev's European partners will meet today in Johannesburg in South Africa at the G20 summit, "because Zelensky says that his country is facing an impossible choice."
"British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is expected to meet with Ukraine's allies at the G20 summit in Johannesburg on Saturday to "strengthen" the plan developed by the United States to end the war with Russia," the note says.
As reported by EADaily, Russia has a plan by US President Donald Trump to resolve the Ukrainian conflict and it generally does not object. This was stated at a meeting of the Russian Security Council by President Vladimir Putin.
"The US administration has so far failed to secure the consent of the Ukrainian side. Ukraine is against. Apparently, Ukraine and its European allies are still under illusions and dream of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. I think this position is based not so much on a low level of competence, I won't discuss this side of the matter now, but most likely this position is due to the lack of objective information about the real state of affairs on the battlefield. And, apparently, not at all Ukraine, nor in Europe does not understand what this may eventually lead to," Putin said, in particular.
