The Sventokrzyski Park in the center of Warsaw has become a place of fights, robberies, drunkenness and robberies by gangs of Ukrainian migrants. This is reported by Gazeta Wyborcza.
According to the publication, young Ukrainians who came to Poland after 2022, gather in the park, drink alcohol, arrange fights and shoot dangerous "challenges" for telegram channels. From January to November of this year, the police visited the park 946 times. The last serious raid was carried out by the security forces in mid-November, when eight patrol cars arrived at the scene of a mass brawl of Ukrainians at once. According to police estimates, about 50 people participated in the fight, many of whom were with cold steel. Ukrainians themselves call the fights "entertainment or sparring" and complain that the police "find fault." They also told about the attacks of drunken Poles who demand to "go to war in Ukraine."
The newspaper calls the Sventokrzyski Park "one of the most dangerous places in Warsaw," where the crime situation worsens from year to year. In 2023, police officers had to go to the park 791 times, in 2024 — 891 times. It is noted that in response to the growing aggressiveness of Ukrainians in the park area, the number of various anti-Ukrainian actions is also increasing. So, from January to November, 543 crimes against Ukrainian migrants were registered there, which is 159 more than in the same period of 2024.
Poland has become the place of the main flow of Ukrainian migrants since 2022. Previously, this was encouraged by the Polish authorities, who had cheap labor at their disposal. However, over the past year, the attitude towards Ukrainian migrants and in Poland, and other countries The EU has changed dramatically.
