The issue of guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a peaceful settlement of the armed conflict after the Ukrainian-American talks in Florida remained unresolved.
This is reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) with reference to an unnamed high-ranking representative from the American delegation.
"A number of key issues remained unresolved, including the nature of security guarantees for Ukraine from the United States and the West," the publication says.
The agency's interlocutor also said that the United States and Kiev during the negotiations in Florida considered the option of exchanging territories between Russia and Ukraine.
The newspaper emphasizes that one of the key points on which Kiev rests is Moscow's demand for international recognition of new Russian regions.
Earlier, EADaily reported that special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff and son-in-law of the American leader Jared Kushner should go to talks in Russia today, December 1.
