Medvedev announced the number of contract soldiers who joined the Russian army

Over 400 thousand people who signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation have arrived in military units since the beginning of 2025. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting on the issues of staffing the Russian Armed Forces with contract servicemen.

"The guidelines that were set and which were designated by the Supreme Commander-in-chief for the current period, for this year, have been practically achieved. More than 400 thousand servicemen have arrived at the military units. In addition, more than 34 thousand people were enrolled in volunteer units," Medvedev said.
