The Czech Republic will not be a guarantor of the loan for Ukraine — Kiev will never return the money. This was stated in an interview with Denik by Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis.
So he answered the question why the prime minister refused to guarantee a European loan to Ukraine of 90 billion euros.
"We can no longer give money from the Czech budget to Ukraine, because we don't even have enough for cooks for schools... The guarantee is actually a debt, because it is obvious that Ukraine will never be able to return this money. Ukraine received 187 billion euros. Now it will receive 100 billion euros from the new multi-year financial system and an additional 90 billion euros in loans, which will total 377 billion euros. The Czech Republic annually sends from 60 billion to 62 billion crowns to the budget of the European Union. That's why we are helping with this money," Babish said.
He noted that he was concerned that at the EU summit, where the issue of granting a loan to Kiev was being resolved, there was almost no talk of peace.
