As a result of active offensive actions, Russian units from the Vostok group of forces liberated the settlement of Privolye of the Donetsk People's Republic.

This is stated in the latest military summary, which was published on Saturday, January 17, on the official resources of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

Active military operations were conducted in the areas of the settlements of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Reznikovka and Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.

According to competent military observers, the capture of Liberty, coupled with the successes in the Reznikovka and Nikiforovka areas, indicates a possible collapse of the enemy's defenses east of the watershed heights in front of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.

Now our troops are advancing to the famous large village of Malinovka ("Wedding in Malinovka"). The liberation of this landmark settlement will mean the beginning of the battles for Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.

Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian units from the Vostok group of forces, as a result of active offensive actions, liberated the settlement of Priluki, Zaporozhye region.
