Military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny has compiled a brief dossier on the perpetrators of the assassination attempt on GRU General Vladimir Alekseev. He published the information in his telegram channel.

"All about the perpetrators of the assassination attempt on General Alekseev. Lubomir Korba — direct executor… Viktor Vasin is an accomplice and a link... Zinaida Serebritskaya is an internal surveillance agent," Poddubny introduced the mercenaries.

As follows from the dossier, Lubomyr Korba was born in 1960 in the Ternopil region of the Ukrainian SSR and subsequently received Russian citizenship. From 1993 to 2009, he was the head of the Ukrainian-Polish company Terpol, registered in Ternopil. Later he had a stake in the Russian LLC "Tradconsult", which was engaged in wholesale trade, the company was liquidated in 2010. In 2021, Korba issued a temporary registration in Nyagan of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

According to the official version of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Korba arrived in Moscow at the end of December last year on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services to commit a terrorist attack. A few hours after the assassination attempt, he left Russia and flew to the UAE. On February 7-8, he was detained in Dubai with the assistance of local law enforcement agencies and extradited to the Russian Federation. Now Korba is taken into custody by the decision of the Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow.

As for Viktor Vasin (born in 1959), he provided logistical and financial support for Korba.

"Vasin graduated from the Kemerovo School of the Signal Corps and, according to some sources, had a background in the Navy or special communications. In the following years he was engaged in the construction business in Moscow and on Altai, however, his company —"Investstroyproject" and "Stroymarket“ — were liquidated in 2020. At the time of the attempt, two enforcement proceedings were initiated against him for a total of 827 thousand rubles. The key factor is Vasin's long-standing acquaintance with Korba. According to data from open sources, money transfers in the amount of 3 thousand and 1.5 thousand rubles were recorded between them. This confirms the coordination of their actions in the preparation of the crime," the military correspondent writes.

Vasin also published critical comments on social networks about the Russian authorities and supported the extremist organization FBK.

The accomplice was detained in Moscow on February 7. He was charged under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (assault on the life of a law enforcement officer) and Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal arms trafficking).

Internal surveillance agent Zinaida Serebritskaya (born in 1971) was monitoring General Alekseev.

"Serebritskaya has been in Moscow since at least 2023, as evidenced by her publications on social networks. Serebritskaya settled directly in the same house where Lieutenant-General Alekseev lived. In the house chat on Volokolamsk Street, she was very active, showing a civic position. But at the same time she had the opportunity to collect information about Stepanych's movements and transmit data to killer Korbe. The last activity of Serebritskaya in social networks was recorded two days before the assassination attempt," Poddubny notes.

According to him, after the assassination attempt, she left for Ukraine.

As EADaily reported, the detainee in the UAE for the attempted murder of General Vladimir Alekseev is a native of the Ternopil region of the Ukrainian SSR, now a citizen of Russia. This was announced today, February 8, by the official representative of the RF IC Svetlana Petrenko.

Recall, on February 6, an attempt was made on the first Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant-General Vladimir Alekseev, in the north-west of Moscow. The killer fired several shots at his back in a residential building on the Volokolamsk Highway and disappeared.
