A series of mysterious earthquakes occurred near the American secret military base in Nevada, where nuclear weapons were previously tested, the British newspaper Daily Mail reports.
"A series of mysterious earthquakes was recorded near one of the most classified US bases used for nuclear tests ... For decades it was believed that in this remote area the US military conducted experimental tests of aircraft, as well as developments in the field of nuclear weapons," the newspaper writes, noting that we are talking about the so—called "Object 52", which together with the more famous base "Object 51" is part of a huge test facility in Nevada.
According to the publication, over the past day seismologists from the US Geological Survey (USGS) have recorded 16 earthquakes in this area with a magnitude exceeding 2.5. During the last week, more than a hundred earthquakes were recorded, the magnitude of which ranged from 1.0 to exceeding 3.0.
The newspaper notes that a series of earthquakes near the nuclear test site occurred simultaneously with the beginning of the attack by the United States and Israel on Iran.
The publication reports that there have been no notifications from the American authorities about the resumption of full-scale nuclear tests, so earthquakes may be part of normal geological activity in the region. At the same time, it is noted that nuclear tests are recorded "very similarly" to natural earthquakes, and may even lead to small aftershocks.
