White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said that so far Operation Epic Fury has been a resounding success. She said this at a press conference, according to the British The Guardian.
Leavitt praised US President Donald Trump and noted the success of Operation Epic Fury in Iran, the newspaper writes.
"President Trump holds these monsters accountable and permanently suppresses their nuclear ambitions. Future generations of Americans will look at this moment as the moment when the specter of a nuclear Iran ended at the beginning of Operation Epic Fury, launched last weekend," Leavitt said.
Leavitt also repeated the statements of the head of the Ministry of Defense, made by him a few hours ago, that the United States has significantly weakened the Iranian navy.
"So far, we have destroyed more than 20 Iranian vessels last night, including their main submarine, using a torpedo. It's safe to say that so far Operation Epic Fury has been a resounding success," she added.
As EADaily reported, an American submarine sank the Iranian warship Iris Dena in the Indian Ocean. This was stated at a briefing in Pentagon department head Pete Hegseth, according to the British The Guardian.
The Iranian fleet "lies at the bottom of the Persian Gulf" and it is "ineffective, destroyed," Hegseth added.
