The criminal case on charges of high treason and other crimes initiated by the opposition Freedom and Solidarity Party (SaS) against Prime Minister Robert Fico will be considered by the Regional Prosecutor's Office of Bratislava. This was announced by SaS Chairman Branislav Greling.

"The Prosecutor General's Office has forwarded our complaint to the Bratislava Prosecutor's Office, which will now decide what to do with it. We believe that Robert Fico is suspected of committing extremely serious crimes, so I hope that the prosecutor's office will honestly investigate the whole case and treat Fico the same as any other citizen," he said.

The suspicions relate, in particular, to possible abuse of power by a public official, high treason, inhumanity, violation of official duties in managing someone else's property, as well as a terrorist act. According to the former Minister of Justice and MP Maria Kolikova, the Prime Minister did not even have the authority to make a decision to stop deliveries, which raises suspicions of abuse of power. Moreover, Kolikova believes that, since Fico's statements are also consistent with Russia's statements, it is necessary to check "whether this is a coordination of actions with a foreign power against the interests of the Slovak Republic."
