Ukraine has dealt a big blow to Kazakhstan. This was stated by Kazakh energy expert Olzhas Baidildinov in an interview with RT.

He noted that the media in the republic are already beginning to list the number of attacks carried out by the armed forces of Ukraine on the vital infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) for Kazakhstan.

"It turns out 4-5, but I say that this is a classic survivor's mistake. Because we do not know the real number of attacks that were launched, which for various reasons the drones did not reach, lost their course or were shot down along the way. That is, there are no banners on them like: "We are flying to the CPC" or "We are flying somewhere else," and in fact I mean that there were much more attacks. This is a big blow to Kazakhstan, although Kazakhstan has been emphasizing all this time that we are not a party to the conflict, we adhere to neutrality," Baidildinov said.

He added that Kazakhstan calls on the parties for peace and even adheres to the regime of anti-Russian sanctions. However, Ukraine does not pay any attention to this.

On the night of April 5, Ukrainian drones attacked the facilities of the international oil transportation company Caspian Pipeline Consortium located in Novorossiysk. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the attack was deliberate and aimed at this strategic facility. As a result of drone strikes, the external pipeline of the mooring device and the discharge-filling berth were damaged, and four tanks with oil products caught fire.

According to the expert, the damage and lost profits of Kazakhstan from the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the period from November 2025 amount to more than $ 2 billion. He stressed that Ukraine is not stopped by the presence of international companies in the CPC.

The Caspian Oil Pipeline Consortium transports 80% of all exported oil from Kazakhstan, which is a key source of income for the country's economy.
