On Thursday, Prince Harry unexpectedly arrived in Kiev and called on Vladimir Putin to stop the war. This is reported by the Polish radio station RMF24.
The youngest son of the British monarch Charles III also called on US President Donald Trump to show leadership and help resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
Harry arrived in Kiev by night train from Poland on Thursday morning to take part in a security conference. According to tradition, the British royal family has no say in political matters, although the king and other high-ranking members of the royal family have regularly expressed support for Kiev. However, during today's visit, Harry spoke "more bluntly than any of his relatives before," the radio station notes.
"President Putin, no country benefits from the ongoing loss of people, as we are witnessing. There is still a moment — now — to stop this war, prevent further suffering of Ukrainians and Russians and choose a different path," Harry said at a security forum in Kiev.
He also called on Washington to take tougher measures to end the war.
"This is a moment of American leadership, a moment when America must show that it can fulfill its obligations under international treaties. Europe has approached this challenge extremely responsibly. Now the challenge is to combine endurance with speed, solidarity with scale and dedication with consistency," Harry said.
According to the radio station, the prince arrived at Ukraine for two days. He plans to visit the HALO Trust mine clearance charity organization, and will also meet with Ukrainian participants of the Invictus Games Foundation, which he founded.
Before that, just as unexpectedly, Prince Harry visited Ukraine in September 2025. Recall, then he was presented with a borscht dressing in a small jar before leaving. It's probably over by now…
As reported by EADaily, Prince Harry, who completed another visit to Ukraine, presented before leaving a gas station for borscht. This was reported by UNIAN.
During the visit, the prince was fed borscht, which his mother Princess Diana loved.
"Ukrainian chef Yevgeny Klopotenko said that he wanted to give Harry a family memory - the taste of borscht, which was Princess Diana's favorite dish," the agency noted.
