In Spain, the owner of a car from Ukraine was detained, transporting 195 thousand euros in a cache. A civil guard service dog helped to find them. This is reported by the Spanish newspaper Hoy.
"Pompa, a young service dog of the Belgian Shepherd Malinois breed from the cynological service of the Civil Guard, found 195 thousand euros hidden between the car seats during a check on the A-31 highway in the Chinchilla de Montearagon area in the province of Albacete," the newspaper writes.
The bills were distributed in several packages. It is noted that "the owner of the car, a man of Ukrainian origin, could not explain the origin of the money."
The money was withdrawn because in Spain, without a declaration, no more than 100 thousand euros or the equivalent of this amount in foreign currency can be transported.
The man was brought to justice for an administrative violation. The Civil Guard is investigating.
