A Turkish fishing vessel was attacked and sank in the Sevastopol area

The Turkish fishing vessel DURU 67 sank in the Black Sea after the attack. This is reported by the Turkish edition of Haberler with reference to the command of the Turkish Coast Guard.

The incident occurred west of the Crimea in the Sevastopol area. It is noted that the vessel was seriously damaged and sank. One fisherman was killed, four others were injured.

It is noted that the victims were evacuated by the nearby fishing vessel BURAK KAYA, which took them to the Turkish port of Inebola.

One of the wounded died on the way from his injuries. Later, his body, as well as the victims, were handed over to the Turkish Coast Guard. The wounded received the necessary medical care.

The attack on the ship was also reported on the social network X by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

"On June 5, 2026, information was received about an attack on a Turkish—flagged fishing vessel DURU 67 in the Black Sea," the statement said.

Who exactly carried out the attack is not specified.
