Georgia needs to prepare for the "restoration of territorial integrity" and to do this, make changes to The Constitution of the country, the Georgian Dream party said.
"One of the main national tasks of our country is to restore the territorial integrity of Georgia. If territorial integrity is restored peacefully, it will be necessary to amend the constitution so that Georgia's governance system and territorial-state structure correspond to new realities," the ruling party said in a statement.
As noted in the "Dream", events around Georgia are changing rapidly, and the authorities should be ready for this.
Based on the anti-state actions of the opposition, there is confidence that the opposition can begin to carry out tasks from the outside and oppose changes in the constitution "aimed at territorial integrity," the country's authorities are confident.
Accordingly, the Georgian Dream needs to obtain a constitutional majority in the parliamentary elections on October 26, "so that, if necessary, no one creates obstacles to constitutional changes."
