The St. Petersburg City court decided to withdraw 14 apartments from former employees of the presidential administration for a total of 1.3 billion rubles. Kommersant informs about this today, December 12.
In addition to residential premises, 118 non-residential premises located in elite buildings on Starovolynskaya Street were also confiscated from ex-officials and related entrepreneurs.
Thus, the court of the northern capital satisfied the claim of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Tkachev, received in December last year. The defendants in the case were 16 individuals, including 75-year-old ex-deputy head of the presidential administration Ivan Malyushin and former first deputy managing Director Sergei Kovalev. Five legal entities also appeared in the lawsuit, and the Management itself acted as a third party.
The Prosecutor General's Office previously confirmed the found "violations in the actions of officials of the presidential affairs department," which provoked a total damage of 1.3 billion rubles at the expense of real estate, which was withdrawn from the state share.
