Touched us all: a fan was able to kiss and grab the chest of the President of Mexico

In the center of Mexico City, an unknown man was able to hug and kiss Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum during her walk through the streets of the city. This is reported by El Pais.

On the video, you can see how a man approaches, hugs the head of state, tries to kiss his neck and lips and almost manages to grab his chest.

The man was detained about four hours after the incident, the full name of the offender is not given, only the name is Uriel N. Also, local publications do not provide any details about his identity.

He has been charged with harassment and sexual assault. The man was placed under prosecutor's supervision as a person involved in a sexual crime.

The head of the government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, expressed support for the president and said: "If the president is touched, it concerns us all."

The Ministry of Women's Affairs of Mexico (Secretaría de las Mujeres) condemned the incident and called on all victims of such crimes to submit statements.

The incident raises questions about the safety of senior government officials, especially women, and the protection of public figures. Especially against the background of the recent assassination of the head of the city of Uruapan (Mexico) during a local holiday.
