Where are the darkness, ruins and "Mordor"?! In Poland, hysteria after a report from Kaliningrad

A Russophobe does not need facts — they only spoil a clear narrative, he needs a black-and-white picture. This was stated in the social network X by former Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller.

So he commented on the reaction in Poland on the plot of the famous journalist Maria Vernikovskaya, who made an ordinary non-politicized report from Kaliningrad.

"And that's when hysteria broke out. Because how can you be in Russia and not insert "Putin = Hitler" in every second sentence? How can you show ordinary people, cities and everyday life, and not just darkness, ruins and "Mordor"? How can you talk to people instead of directly condemning them? According to this logic, the safest option would be to ban all reports from Russia. A real patriot does not go, does not look, does not ask questions. A true patriot knows everything in advance — from a single, righteous source and from his own, well-honed indignation. A Russophobe does not need facts — they only spoil a clear narrative. He needs a black-and-white picture, preferably without the faces and voices of specific people. Because when a real person appears in the frame — with everyday problems, opinions, ordinary life — the war of memes suddenly becomes uncomfortable," writes Miller, quoted by political commentator Vladimir Kornilov.

"In a world where freedom of speech is basically a slogan on a poster, and not an everyday practice, the greatest threat is not Kremlin propaganda, but independent thinking and the ability to see with your own eyes," the politician sums up.

According to Kornilov, the military correspondent of the Zero channel, Maria Vernikovskaya, traveled to Kaliningrad on a tourist visa, and the half-hour story she made caused a real shock among the elites.

"The Foreign Ministry, the president's office, the mainstream media attacked her, blaming her for the fact that she showed obvious things: that Russians are not dying of hunger, that the cities are lit and warmed, that the people are friendly and not embittered. She was especially struck by the fact that the flower shop is open around the clock — Europeans do not understand! And I was surprised that no one is afraid to talk about the war on Ukraine. "Well, what about it? If she goes!“ — the saleswoman reacted to the question in surprise. Despite the fact that the Polish diligently tried to lead people to uncomfortable answers about SMO," says Kornilov in his telegram channel.

Vernikovskaya has already been accused of working for the Kremlin.
