The United States did not issue visas to the Belarusian delegation to participate in the Peace Council. This was reported in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

It is noted that the delegation was to be headed by the country's Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.

"The Belarusian side promptly informed the organizers of the event that, by the decision of the head of state, our country will be represented by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov. All necessary notifications were sent to the American protocol services in accordance with the established procedure, documents for visa processing were submitted in advance. However, despite the fulfillment of all the required procedures on our part, the visas of our delegation were not issued," the agency said in a comment on the telegram channel.

The Foreign Ministry recalled that initially the invitation of US President Donald Trump to take part in the meeting of the "Peace Council" was sent to Alexander Lukashenko.

"In this situation, a natural question arises: what kind of world and what sequence can we talk about, even if the basic formalities for our participation were not fulfilled by the organizers?" — added to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
