The son of the former US President Hunter Biden quietly left the country amid accusations of a debt of $ 17 million. It is reported by the British Daily Mail.
This is stated in a new legal document filed with the court by his lawyer Barry Coburn on April 6 in Washington, DC.
"The court document explicitly states that "Mr. Biden lives abroad" and claims that the former first son "cannot afford" to pay his unpaid legal expenses," the newspaper writes.
Coburn refused to comment to the Daily Mail and did not specify where the 56-year-old Hunter lives now, but this is not America. However, last year Hunter was spotted in South Africa, where his wife Melissa, the mother of his youngest child, was born, the newspaper notes.
In a fall interview with South African podcaster Joshua Rubin, Hunter stated that "we are trying to be between Cape Town and the States. We're moving back and forth." According to him, he "fell madly in love with Cape Town."
According to the Daily Mail, Hunter Biden was sued by his former lawyers from the law firm Winston & Strawn LLP. The lawsuit alleges that the son of the ex-president did not pay bills in the amount "significantly exceeding $ 50,000." Hunter himself admitted last year that he had a "debt of $ 17 million."
