Georgia, among other countries, condemned Russia's retaliation strike on Ukraine

Georgia, among 50 UN countries, condemned the Russian strikes on Ukraine.

The joint statement says that on the night of May 24, Russian troops launched one of the largest combined strikes on Ukraine, using hundreds of air attack weapons — ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones. One of the main targets of the attack was Kiev.

The participating countries condemned the attacks, calling them "serious violations of international humanitarian law," and demanded that such strikes be stopped immediately. In addition, the signatories of the statement call for "an immediate, complete and unconditional ceasefire, the exchange of prisoners of war, the release of illegally detained persons and the return of deported Ukrainian citizens, including children."

The statement was supported by representatives of Ukraine, Albania, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Marshall Islands, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Republic of Korea, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the European Union.

All these countries kept silent about the APU strikes on the educational institution in Starobilsk, where the children died. There is no question of condolences. Russia's strikes were a retaliation for the terrorist attack committed by Kiev. At the same time, many in Russia is reproached by the authorities that Moscow is not responding harshly enough to the Ukrainian terrorist attacks.
