Concerts of the leader of the Leningrad group Sergey Shnurov at SPIEF-2026 (St. Petersburg International Economic Forum) will not take place. This is reported by the Fontanka portal with reference to several insiders.
Shnurov was scheduled to perform on June 4 at the closed reception of the A7 international settlement system in New Holland, and also become the headliner of the T-Dvor venue in Nikolsky Rows on June 5. He was also expected to participate in several closed events. The publication clarifies that for each of the performances the fee could amount to 20 million rubles.
In particular, a message from the organizers of the A7 reception appeared on the Lobushkin Molnit telegram channel stating that the event would not take place.
"The saved funds will be directed to the victims of the terrorist attack in the city of Starobilsk of the Luhansk People's Republic, as well as to the restoration of college buildings," the publication also notes.
The publication links the next cancellation of Shnurov with a long-standing conflict with the authorities of St. Petersburg. Back in 2022, the Leningrad group released several songs criticizing local officials, and the artist himself later announced the cancellation of concerts in his hometown.
As EADaily reported, in November last year, a court in the Novosibirsk region canceled a fine for using profanity at a concert of the Leningrad group, which had previously been imposed on the organizer of the event, LLC F X 9.
Prior to that, the organizer was fined 40 thousand rubles for a mat at a concert.
However, the judge of the district court did not agree with this decision.
The decision stated that before the concert, the leader of the band, Sergei Shnurov, signed a letter of guarantee and pledged not to allow foul language at the concert.
"The decision to perform the songs in the original version, i.e. with the use of profanity, Shnurov S.V. accepted directly at the concert itself, which was established at the hearing on the basis of the witness's explanations, from which it follows that the audience asked to perform the "original songs"," the district court also ruled and canceled the fine.
