Earlier today, on June 1, the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko claimed that "the reason for the collapse of bridges in the Kursk and Bryansk regions were explosions,"
Now the information indicated by the RF IC should be read as follows:
"On May 31, 2025, at 22:50, on the Vygonichi — Pilshino railway section in the Bryansk region, the structure of the automobile bridge collapsed, the fragments of which fell on a passenger train passing under it. As a result of the incident, people were injured and killed.
In Zheleznogorsk district, Kursk region, on June 1, 2025, at about 3 a.m., a passing train fell from a damaged bridge onto a highway. As a result of the incident, the driver and 2 of his assistants were injured."
