The so-called "Doomsday Radio Station" UVB-76 on the eve of the New Year broadcast a unique word after a 12-day silence. This is stated in the message of the telegram channel "UVB-76 logs".
At 12:08 Moscow time, a word that had never been heard before in radio messages sounded on the air, "perelaz".
The previous message of the station is dated December 17, the radio went on the air for the first time in 12 days.
UVB-76 is a shortwave radio station that started operating in 1976. Among radio amateurs, it was called the "buzzer", since most of the time it broadcasts monotonous and buzzing sounds.
Experts believe that the sounding messages on the frequency of the station are only a test of its operability.
As EADaily reported, the radio station most often goes on the air during periods of high international tension, which causes fears of a possible "global war," the observer of the Express publication suggested earlier.
