The Prime Minister of Slovakia went to confrontation with the European Commission because of Zelensky

The European Commission (EC) should stop playing political games around the Druzhba oil pipeline and pretend that it cannot put pressure on Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico following the results of the joint consultations of the Slovak and Czech cabinet held on March 31 in Studenka (north-east of the Czech Republic).

"I'm asking why they won't open the Druzhba oil pipeline. What kind of nonsense is this, because we have a simple solution to get enough oil to Europe. This sufficient amount of oil would help stabilize the situation not only in Slovakia and Hungary, which have suffered the most (due to the suspension of supplies via Druzhba. — EADaily), but also to stabilize the situation throughout Central Europe," he said.

In this regard, Fico urged the EC "not to pretend that it is not capable" of convincing Volodymyr Zelensky to allow a group of inspectors to Druzhba to restore the operation of the pipeline. He also noted that "the EC cannot give preference to the interests of non-EU countries."

Recall, oil from Russia via the Druzhba pipeline to refineries in Hungary and Slovakia has not received since January 27. The Hungarian government stated that the highway is suitable for operation and Kiev does not resume the transit of raw materials solely for political reasons.
