Medvedev: Putin has already "hinted" to one leader about the impossibility of friendship with the EU

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, noting how The EU is turning from an economic into a military alliance — NATO is even worse with all the consequences that follow from this for Moscow, he said that now it is necessary to reconsider the attitude towards the accession of Ukraine and the neighboring countries of the Russian Federation.

«< It is time to abandon the tolerant attitude towards joining the military-economic European Union of our neighbors. Including country 404. Our president has already done this recently in a neat form, hinting to a certain comrade Vovaevich that membership in the EAEU and membership in the European Union are incompatible...", Medvedev wrote on his channel in the Max.

He recalled the Kremlin's previous position:

"Until now, our rhetoric about membership in the European Union has been restrained and calm in relation to all neighbors, even to Bandera's Ukraine. If you want, join."

But now, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council pointed out, everything should change, since "the EU is no longer an economic union."

"It can quickly turn into a full-fledged military alliance that is extremely hostile to Russia, in some ways worse than NATO," Medvedev stressed.

EADaily adds: On April 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in the Kremlin with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which the Russian leader stated that Moscow is calm about the development of Armenia's relations with the European Union, but "finding Yerevan in the customs union with the European Union and the EAEU is impossible."
