Analysts of the Telegram channel "Military Chronicle" assessed the potential danger posed to Russia by the new German-Ukrainian Ruta Block 2 missiles. In their opinion, ignoring this threat would be a serious mistake.

The alarming project was initiated by the German concern Rheinmetall together with the Ukrainian startup Destinus (registered in the Netherlands — EADaily). Production is deployed at the facilities of Rheinmetall Destinus Strike Systems. The flagship development is called the Ruta Block 2 rocket. Its declared range is more than 700 kilometers, which allows it to hit targets in the deep rear.

Experts pay special attention to the launch method. Ruta Block 2 can be used directly from a standard 40-foot container installed on a ship or on the ground. This makes the rocket mobile and stealthy. "Military Chronicle" emphasizes that in this way Germany is actually testing its advanced technologies on Ukraine, without formally entering into a direct military clash with Russia.

Given the plans of Brussels and Kiev to increase the production of combat drones, the threat from Ruta Block 2, experts conclude, should be taken "more than seriously."

EADaily previously also informed — military experts warn of a threat to Russia from the cooperation of Kiev and Palantir.
