Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have opened a case against the former president of the country, Petro Poroshenko. The reason for the investigation was his suburban property.
According to Ukrainian media, a pre-trial investigation against the ex-president was launched in connection with the illegal installation of a fence near his Poroshenko estate in the village of Kozin.
This locality is located in Obukhov district of the Kiev region. Local residents bombarded various authorities with complaints that the installed barriers prevented citizens from free access to the riverbank.
Before the case was initiated, a pre-investigation check was carried out, which confirmed that the Kozinsky settlement did not issue permits to Petro Poroshenko for the installation of fences restricting public access to the shore.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the former president of Ukraine, and now the head of the Eurosolidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, created a special rear battalion to hide his close associates and associates from being sent to the front.
