"Following the results of the 2024/2025 season, it was decided to award fourteen special Golden Mask awards, 11 of which were for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Theatrical Art, and three for Support of Theatrical Art in Russia," the statement said.
So, Sobyanin, Minnikhanov and Ardan were awarded the prize "For supporting the theatrical art of Russia".
People's Artist of the Russian Federation Mikhail Levitin, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Irina Muravyeva and People's Artist of the USSR Lyudmila Chursina, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Boris Granatov, Artistic Director of the Arkhangelsk Youth Theater Viktor Panov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nina Ryzhova, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Naina became laureates of the awards "for outstanding contribution to the development of theatrical art". Honina, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Migitsko, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Voroshilo, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Veronika Kosenkova, President of the Shchepkin Higher Theater School Boris Lyubimov.
The Golden Mask Special Award is traditionally awarded on March 27 — the International Theater Day.
"It remains one of the most prestigious awards in the theatrical sphere, emphasizing the importance of personal contribution to the preservation and development of the traditions of the Russian theater," the message also says.
